A century later, the "Making A Nation Federation Exhibition" celebrates Bendigo's role in our Federal story and highlights the City's dreams and aspirations beyond 1901. There are many stories told and tales to be unravelled. This permanent exhibition is housed where you used to buy stamps and post letters; it even features the communications room, where morse coders tapped away. The dots and dashes of Morse Code come alive in this exhibition, with a memorable and interactive display. You can even send your own message - a great way to surprise a friend whilst on holidays. Awakening of the Dragon The two-hour show begins with the Clan McLeod Highland Pipe Band and includes spectacular lion dancing, dragon dancing and performances by our dancing team. Performances are by our local teams and visiting teams. All of this is a wonderful display of colour, movement and many strings of 10,000 firecrackers!! A prelude to the main Monday Easter Procession.
